Urgent Eye surgery

Dear Sir/Madam

I am reaching out to kindly ask for assistance in raising funds for my nephew, Chenaniah Allen, who is in need of eye surgery.

Chenaniah is a hardworking and dedicated student of Tranquility Secondary School. Despite the challenges he is experiencing with his eyesight, he continues to attend school and tries his very best to keep up with his schoolwork.

On 22nd September 2026, Chenaniah was proudly recognized by his school with a Certificate of Recognition of Academic Excellence for the 2025–2026 academic year. He achieved 70% and was recognized among the outstanding students of his class. This achievement means so much to our family because he continues to work hard and do his best despite his vision difficulties.

Unfortunately, Chenaniah is facing serious problems with his eyesight. His recent examination at Trinidad Eye Hospital found that he has bilateral aphakia, a left inoperable retinal detachment, and nystagmus. The doctors have recommended further treatment and surgery for his right eye.

His mother is doing everything she can to help her son receive the treatment he needs. However, the cost of his medical care and surgery is more than she can manage on my own. I am therefore humbly asking for assistance from anyone who can help us reach the  fundraising goal.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean a great deal to Chenaniah and our family. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing his fundraising appeal with others would also be greatly appreciated.

Chenaniah is a bright, hardworking and determined young man who deserves the opportunity to continue his education and pursue his dreams. We are praying that, with the kindness and support of others, we can give him the opportunity to receive the treatment he needs.

I have attached his medical letter from Trinidad Eye Hospital and his Certificate of Academic Excellence as supporting documents.
