Help Us Fight CancerβEvery Donation Saves Lives
Cancer continues to claim far too many lives, often influenced by lifestyle choices. At MistyBlue Cancer Care Foundation Limited, we are committed to reducing risks, spreading awareness, and providing hope and healing to those affected.
Our Mission: A Survivorβs Vision
MistyBlue Cancer Care Foundation Limited recognizes the value of every citizen and is committed to excellence and leadership in service. We provide exemplary physical, emotional, and spiritual care to all individuals in Westmoreland and its environs, regardless of age, gender, color, or social class.
Through our dedication to education, early detection, and treatment, we strive to improve the overall health of our community. By working together with citizens and medical professionals, we aim to reduce cancer rates and ensure that early detection becomes the norm rather than the exception.
Founded by Dorothy Satchwell, a cancer survivor who transformed her challenges into a purpose-driven mission, MistyBlue Cancer Care Foundation is built on the belief that every life experienceβwhether joyful or painfulβteaches, molds, and prepares us for a greater purpose.
At MistyBlue Cancer Care Foundation, we:
β Provide education and support for individuals and families navigating cancer.
β Offer diagnostic screenings to aid in early detection and prevention.
β Use music and the arts to promote healing and behavior change for healthier communities.
Every cancer journey is uniqueβfilled with stories of resilience, pain, love, healing, and transformation. These stories belong to patients and the caregivers, families, and friends who walk this journey with them. Inspired by her lived experience, Dorothy established this foundation to meet individuals at their point of need, providing compassionate care and support tailored to their unique challenges.
Through awareness campaigns, diagnostic screening, music, and other art forms, we aim to promote behavior modification and foster healthier communities within our parish and beyond.
