Short Story

Our team are currently in the process of setting up a Hydroponic Farm that will be complimented with container climate control unit, which in itself is the majority of the amount we are seeking.  In addition we are setting up a water filtration / purification plant which will provide another option of drinking water to the general public. In the BVI we are subjected to a lot of imports in our grocery stores, these projects are intended for us to do our part to help the BVI as a country to achieve sustainably and less dependency on imports.  Our team have already started this endeavor and have carried the project as far as we can with our personal funds.  With these funds we have already secured a locations for both projects within very close proximity to each other.  We have also secured the materials that are needed for the greenhouse structure, growing trays and growing tables, as well as pumps etc.  We have also started to build out the facility to house the water filtration / purification processing plant.  Our funds have taken us to this point however we are in need of funding to primarily purchase a Freight Farm turn key unit and to complete the internal workings for the Hydroponic Farm and the Water filtration / purification processing plant.

The funding will be used as follows; the Freight Farm container will be order and shipped.  Current quote is approximately $140,000.00 prior to shipping.  Estimate shipping is between $6000.00 and $8000.00.  Because it is agriculture related we are in the process of soliciting our Government to waive import duties as this will be a benefit to the community.  Water filtration /  purification units have been quoted between $8000.00 and $10000.00 before shipping of which estimates are $2500.00 to $3500.00.  Additionally $5000.00 will be used to complete the buildout, electrical, plumbing, etc. The balance will be used to complete the Hydroponic Farm with and estimate of $8500.00 for nutrients, packaging and labeling, purchase of seeds and growing mediums. The above is totaled on the higher side of the estimates however all will be done to get these cost lowered as the funding program has a 9% fee (just of $15000.00 if we are successful with our goal) that the funding will also have to cover.
