Short Story

Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, also known as Pseudotumor Cerebri, is a neurological disorder related to high pressures in the fluid around the brain and spinal cord. This fluid is called Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF). If there is a buildup of CSF (caused by an overproduction or not enough being re-absorbed) this results in elevated pressures within the skull. Ultimately causing symptoms similar to a brain tumor. Papilledema is a condition in which increased pressure in or around the brain causes the part of the optic nerve inside the eye to swell. If left untreated it can lead to visual disturbances and blindness.

Hi my name is Alicia Robinson and I am in dire need of your financial assistance. In 2021 I was diagnosed with Idopatathic Intracranial Hypertension. I did two surgeries locally in a bid to correct the problem. However, there has been no changes as my body is not responding to any form of medication and I am currently experiencing excruciating pain. My medical team has now recommended that I get another surgery done called Venous Sinus Stenting. However, this is only done overseas. The estimated cost for this surgery is $67,000.00 USD a total of $10 million JMD. I have exhausted all my finances as you can imagine on previous and ongoing medical expenses. I am grateful for your previous contributions but is still seeking your help again as I can loose my vision at any given time, due to the build up of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF). I am unable to cover this current expenses on my own without your help. It does not matter how small your contribution is as every dollar counts and will be appreciated. I solicit your generous donation as whatever you give will make a huge difference in saving my vision. Thank you all in advance God bless!
