The fight to survive is strong.
Talent and skills need more than just hard work to get into production and become successful. It needs funds to purchase material and equipments. I sew and do upholstery and would like to turn this into light manufacturing business with my own brand, offer employment, skills training to the high school near by, donate a percentage of my profits to the Seaford Town NGO Dreams United and Blue Boys Foundation that provides back to school assistance to rural communities in Westmoreland and open a Thrift shop to help the needy in my community.
After almost 25 yrs with a company I found out my Manager had forged my signature on a salary advance cheque and cashed it in as me. I chose not to file charges if he paid back the money and resolved the issue with the Accounts Department. 6 mths later I was dismissed without a letter of termination or due process. I am still awaiting the results from The Ministry of Labor/Industrial Disputes Tribunal. Its been 8yrs.
As a single mother with 2 children in school I could find no employment without a termination or resignation letter. I lost my home, my son dropped out of college so his sister would finish school. I turned to my skills to make a living to survive. From a hobby to a home business. I do fairly good but its never enough to expand from doing custom orders into doing Ready Made.
I want to develop into a successful business.
The needed help would be greatly appreciated.
