To help band members with their Band uniforms, instruments, visa fee and plane tickets to participate in the Martin Luther King Jr Parade in Tampa, Florida

The Portmore Catholic Panther Marching Band is a musical ensemble based in Portmore, Jamaica. It is made up of students from the communities of Waterford, Gregory Park, and Westchester, led by a team of dedicated music directors, and booster parents. The band is known for its high-energy performances, blending traditional marching band music with contemporary styles such as gospel, hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall. They have participated in numerous local competitions, and funeral parades, honored for their outstanding musical performances. The Portmore Catholic Panther Marching Band is highly respected in the church and community and has been recognized for its positive influence on the member’s lives and the positive impact it has on the community.

I am doing this Fundraising on behalf of the Portmore Catholic Panther Marching Band. The band has been invited to participate in the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. parade to be held in Tampa, Florida from January 13th -17th, 2024.
While we are excited at the prospect of representing our band, and community at such a prestigious event, we are also faced with some logistical challenges. Specifically, we are concerned about the accommodation, food, and transportation arrangements for sixty-four band members, directors, and boosters’ parents during the parade including the purchasing of band instruments and uniforms.
Given the distance and duration of the trip, we must have adequate arrangements in place to ensure the comfort and well-being of our members. We are therefore reaching out to you in the hope that you may be able to assist us in securing suitable accommodation, food, and transportation for band members, directors, boosters’ parents, and marching band Instruments.
We understand that this may be a significant request, and we would be grateful for any help that you can provide. We are confident that with your support, we can make this trip a success and continue to build on the strong relationship that exists between our band and the community.
