Merciful Foundation International is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting communities in Jamaica. Our first project is focused on the Parish of St. James, specifically Somerton, where the International Bible Way Church has served as a beacon of hope and worship for over 50 years.

Why This Matters:

Somerton, located in the hills of Northern St. James, has long relied on the Bible Way Church for spiritual guidance, community support, and a sense of belonging. However, the church building has faced severe wear and tear over the years, requiring extensive renovations to continue serving the community effectively.

While progress has been made with previous donations, including the construction of a much-needed road and accessibility ramp, as well as sanctuary renovations, there is still much work to be done.

Our Mission: A Community Feeding Program

Merciful Foundation International is launching a Community Feeding Program to address the immediate and ongoing needs of families in Somerton and the surrounding areas. Many in this rural community face economic challenges, and access to regular, nutritious meals can be a struggle.

The feeding program will be hosted at the Bible Way Church, which continues to serve as a safe haven for all. This initiative will:

• Provide hot, nutritious meals to families in need.
• Offer a supportive environment where the community can come together.
• Help alleviate food insecurity in the Parish of St. James.

• Purchasing food supplies and cooking equipment.
