Hello, my name is Lanique. Over five weeks ago, on election day in St Vincent, I suffered a serious knee injury after falling from a moving ferry. The accident was sudden and frightening, and since then, I have been unable to walk.
This has been one of the most challenging times of my life. While I am in recovery, I am unable to work, which has created financial strain, while the injury itself requires medical care, rehabilitation, and patience.

My job has been sincere in keeping me this long, but have decided that it will be no good for me as a waitress since I have to be on my feet for my entire shift, and I still require a lengthy recovery. The accident was deemed my fault; therefore, I have not received any financial help or medical support. I had people from the community reach out genuinely to cover a few of my medical bills, and I am grateful for the assistance, but that in itself is not enough to support my daily expenses. I am starting this fundraiser to seek assistance with:

• Daily living expenses while I remain unable to work
