My name is Jennifer Barnett. In February 2014, my house was burned down while my children were attending high school. We lost everything during that time, which has made life a struggle, especially since we did not have financial or family support.

I had two loans from the bank and a credit card that I was unable to manage for years, leading to significant interest accumulation. To address this, I decided to take a 9-to-5 job, which would involve salary deductions to allow me to pay off my debts without settling the full amount immediately.

While at work, I encountered mould in the ceiling and had to sit at my desk for long hours. As a result, I developed a sinus infection that required two surgeries. The healing process has been difficult due to the amount of bacteria in my system.

In 2020, my daughter, Dayjahney Hibbert, won a high jump competition and was awarded three scholarships (in track and field, theatre art, and visual art) to attend Highland Community College. I have been funding her expenses, including airfare and miscellaneous costs, ever since. I still have an outstanding balance for her school fees that I need to clear to obtain her original transcripts.

This is why I am seeking financial assistance. I hope to help both myself and my daughter achieve financial independence.
