​My name is Annalyese Brown, and I am a soccer player from Kingston, Jamaica. I have spent my entire life dreaming of playing at the collegiate level in the United States. Through discipline, hard work on the pitch, and a commitment to my studies, I was officially recruited to play for a university in Missouri.

​This is my final chance to turn that dream into a reality.

Earlier this year, I launched a fundraiser to cover my tuition. Despite my best efforts, that campaign did not reach its goal, and I was forced to defer my enrollment. It was a difficult experience, but it taught me a valuable lesson: passion is necessary, but a clear, disciplined, and public plan is essential.

​I am not the same athlete I was last year. I have spent the last several months sharpening my agility, increasing my endurance, and maintaining a rigorous academic schedule.
