I hope this message finds you well. My name is Maureen, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of Avodah Productions charity. Today, I bring to your attention a critical fundraising campaign for one of our partners, Mike Deo Ngarasi, who is in urgent need of our support.

Mike has been battling keratoconus since childhood, a condition that has gradually robbed him of his eyesight. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, his parents were unable to provide him with the necessary medical assistance. As he grew older, the situation worsened, and he found himself losing his eyesight altogether.

In a quest for treatment, Mike traveled to Nairobi, where he consulted with an ophthalmologist for the first time. The diagnosis was clear – he needed a cornea transplant. Financial constraints, however, prevented him from pursuing the procedure in Kenya. It was through a conversation with a volunteer from Barcelona that he learned about the Barraquer Foundation, a beacon of hope that extended invaluable assistance.

Thanks to the foundation, Mike was able to travel to Barcelona and undergo the crucial cornea transplant that has kept him going for over five years. Today, Mike faces a new challenge – the urgent need for a follow-up surgery in Spain to save his sight. He has been experiencing constant pain and discomfort, and time is of the essence.

We are reaching out to you, our compassionate community, to help us raise funds for Mike’s journey. The funds will cover his flight from Kenya, visa expenses, travel insurance, meals, and accommodation during his stay in Spain for the follow-up surgery.

It is essential to note that Mike Ventures Africa, the organization behind this initiative, has been a pillar of support for the community in Isibania, Kenya, since 2007. Through various charitable endeavors, Mike Ventures Africa has touched the lives of many families and individuals.
