JM. Melissa Emergency Relief Aid β€” Helping Jamaica Recover After the Storm πŸŒͺ️

Organized by: Maria Easy-Roberts

Hello kind-hearted friends,

My name is Maria Easy-Roberts, and I’m from Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of families and individuals who were severely affected by Hurricane Melissa, which caused devastating flooding, loss of homes, and destruction across parts of our island.

The devastation caused by Storm Melissa has left families homeless, children hungry, and entire communities covered in mud and heartbreak.

It’s hard to explain what it feels like to see the place you love washed away. I close my eyes and still hear the rain, still see the fear in people’s faces, and still feel the ache of not being able to help everyone at once. I took it to heart that I took bed for it on my Birthday.Β  I have sleepless nights and headaches just imagining what mothers, fathers, and children are going through every second.

I’m not affiliated with any government or large charity β€” I’m simply a concerned Jamaican citizen who cannot stand by while so many suffer. These are real people I see and hear about every day β€” mothers, fathers, children, and the elderly who have lost everything and are struggling to rebuild their lives. That is why I started this fundraiser β€” Melissa Emergency Relief Aid β€” to bring immediate help and hope to those suffering most

The funds raised here will go directly toward emergency relief supplies and community recovery efforts, including:

  • 🏠 Providing temporary shelter materials (Ply boards, bedding, etc.)

  • 🍞 Supplying food and clean drinking water to affected families

  • 🩺 Offering basic medical care and hygiene kits for those injured or sick

  • πŸ‘• Distributing clothing and essentials to children and the elderly

  • πŸ”¦ Helping with community clean-up and restoration efforts

Funds will be managed by me, Maria Easy-Roberts, and distributed directly to the affected communities in partnership with local churches and volunteers who are already helping on the ground.

Transparency is very important to me β€” I will post regular updates and photos showing how every donation is used.

I know times are hard for many, but even a small act of kindness can rebuild someone’s tomorrow. Your generosity will not only restore homes β€” it will restore faith, dignity, and love.

Please, from the bottom of my heart, I’m asking you to help Jamaica rise again.
Donate, share this page, and let the world know that compassion is stronger than any storm.

With love and endless gratitude,
Maria Easy-Roberts
