Longpond Community Center Rehabilitation

Dear Friends and Community Members,

The Longpond Community Center in Christiana has long been a beacon of hope and unity for our people. However, since the devastation caused by Hurricane Ivan in 2005, it has sat dormant, leaving a void in the heart of our community. We now have the opportunity to breathe life back into this beloved space and, in doing so, revitalize Christiana and bring hope to our youth and families.

Our Vision: We aim to transform the Longpond Community Center into a state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility that will serve as a hub for education, recreation, and community building. This will not only uplift our youth but also reduce crime by offering constructive opportunities for learning and growth. Our goal is to foster a strong, united community where every child and adult can thrive.

The revitalized center will include:

• A modern computer lab for learning and research, enabling our children to stay ahead in a digital world.
• Printing services to assist with school projects, job applications, and more.
• Tutoring programs for students needing extra academic support.
• Gaming areas to provide a safe and fun environment for recreational activities.
• Football tournaments and other sports programs to bring back the competitive spirit and foster teamwork, discipline, and physical health.

Why We Need Your Help: The rebirth of the Longpond Community Center will not be possible without the support of the community. We need your help to:

• Repair structural damages caused by Hurricane Ivan.
• Upgrade facilities to include modern equipment for the computer lab and recreation areas.
• Furnish the center with desks, chairs, and supplies.
• Implement security features to ensure the safety of everyone who uses the space.

How You Can Make a Difference: By contributing to this cause, you are not just restoring a building; you are investing in the future of Christiana. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to creating a place where our children can grow, learn, and feel proud to call home.

Together, we can stand as a community to raise our children, reduce crime, and bring back the spirit of togetherness that the Longpond Community Center once symbolized.

Let’s unite for a brighter future!

Donate today and be a part of this incredible journey to rebuild the heart of Christiana.

Thank you for your unwavering support. Every dollar counts, and with your help, we can make this dream a reality.
