First Dance Studios isn’t just a performing arts school, It has been a movement.
For over 11 years, we’ve helped young people in Montego Bay and across Western Jamaica build confidence, creativity, and resilience through the power of the arts.

Each week, more than 200 students, many on scholarship, come to our studio to dance, sing, move, and belong.
But when Hurricane Melissa struck, our beloved space was severely damaged floors flooded, doors caved in, signage torn away, and vital equipment destroyed.

Now, we need your help to rebuild, not just our studio, but the safe, healing space so many children depend on each week.

Why This Matters?

The arts don’t just teach performance, they heal hearts and lift spirits.
After the storm, many of our children and families are struggling to recover emotionally and financially.
Through dance, music, and creative expression, we help them find hope again because the arts truly heal.

Research shows that creative engagement reduces stress, anxiety, and depression and we see that transformation every day in our students.

This year alone, we…

**Produced a full-scale stage production that drew over 400 patrons

** Were 1st place club in the Jamaica classics gymnastics championship & won over 22 medals and a team trophy for our country at the Yamilet Pena Classic in Punta Cana.

**Prepared to represent Jamaica at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), giving students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on a global platform.

**Continued to run high-quality, inclusive programs that uplift children from all backgrounds.

But these milestones require significant resources, and to sustain this level of impact, we need support.
