Short Story

Dear people of good will,

Our old St. Gerard’s church, a cherished beacon of faith and history here in Anguilla, has been heavily damaged by Hurricane Irma and other tropical storms. The roof, made of asbestos needs urgent replacement for the safety of all. The walls and windows have also suffered serious damage, putting at risk the very heart of our community. We need this old church for our Sunday school and parish groups. We need your generous support to restore and renew this sacred place. Every gift brings us closer to rebuilding the church that holds so many memories and hopes.

Thank you for your prayers and kindness.

With blessings,

Fr Matt

Hello friends, we need your help to repair Old St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, a historical chapel that is a center of faith, worship, and community in Anguilla.

This historic chapel was created in the 1960s, and it is used for Sunday school, youth group, choir, and so many more activities.

However, Hurricane IRMA and various tropical storms have damaged the roof and windows of this chapel, and repairs are desperately needed. The roof was made of asbestos, which poses a major health hazard! When roofs made out of asbestos are damaged, like this one, microfibers can be released into the air that are dangerous.

Your donations will keep people safe, save a historic chapel, and uphold the Catholic community in Anguilla.

Please pray for the success of this campaign, and share it with your family and friends. You can follow St. Gerard’s Facebook page here for updates:

Thank you for your generosity, God bless you!
