Help Me Get the Dental Treatment I Need at 17

Hi, my name is Renaldo, and I’m a 17-year-old from Jamaica trying to get the dental treatment I urgently need.

In 2023, I had several teeth filled by a dentist who, looking back, I have concerns may not have been sufficiently experienced. Unfortunately, I’m now facing serious dental problems, and the cost of correcting them has become overwhelming.

My two front teeth need significant treatment, including root canals and crowns, to give me the best chance of saving them. Unfortunately, I’m also dealing with an infection in my teeth. My dentist confirmed that there is an infection and suspects that the fluid coming from the affected area is pus. This makes getting proper dental treatment even more urgent, and I’m worried about what could happen if I can’t afford to get it treated in time.

The estimated cost of my treatment is approaching US$1,000, and as a 17-year-old without a job, that’s an enormous amount of money for me and my family. I’m not rich, and my mother already has her own responsibilities and dental needs to worry about. It hurts knowing that I have to ask for help with something so important, especially when I want to be in a position to help my family instead.

I’ve been working toward building a future for myself through content creation, and I’ve always dreamed of becoming financially independent and giving my family a better life. Now, I’m facing the possibility of selling the laptop and gaming equipment I use to create content just to help cover these dental expenses.

I’m starting this fundraiser because I want to take responsibility for my health and get the treatment I need without placing even more financial pressure on my mother. My goal is to save my natural teeth if possible, protect my dental health, and regain the confidence to smile without constantly worrying about my teeth.

Every donation, no matter how small, would make a genuine difference. If you can’t donate, sharing my fundraiser with others would mean just as much to me.

I’m still young, and I have so much I want to accomplish in life. I’m determined to keep moving forward, work toward my goals, and make my family proud. Right now, I just need a little help getting through this difficult situation.
