Mama Gwen’s heartache doesn’t stop there. In 2022, she experienced a horrifying family tragedy when her own nephew brutally murdered her daughter and four grandchildren in Cocoa Piece, Jamaica. Now, to add to her anguish, Mama Gwen has received news that her nephew is seeking an appeal for his sentence. This renewed legal battle is reopening old wounds, amplifying her emotional trauma, and leaving her in desperate need of counselling and support.
