Help Kristen Swaby Recover, Rebuild Her Life, and Find a Safe Home for Her Children

We are reaching out with humble hearts to ask for kindness and support for Kristen Swaby and her two children, who are facing an incredibly difficult chapter in their lives.

Kristen has endured serious, life-changing injuries. She has lost her sight in one eye, and one of her hands has been severely affected by tendon damage, leaving it not fully functional following tendon repair. She also has visible scars on her head, face, and body from what she has been through.

Behind these injuries is a woman who is trying to move forward, regain as much independence as possible, and care for her two children despite the many challenges she faces.

Sadly, Kristen’s difficulties have been made even greater by the loss of her home during Hurricane Melissa. The home where she was living was destroyed by the storm, leaving her and her children without a place of their own. They are now staying with her mother because they have nowhere else to go.

Kristen is also facing these challenges without the support of her children’s father, who is currently in prison. According to the circumstances surrounding Kristen’s injuries, he is the person responsible for the harm she suffered. This has left Kristen facing the difficult responsibility of caring for her children while dealing with the physical and emotional impact of her injuries and the loss of her home.

No mother should have to face so many hardships at once. Kristen needs time and support to focus on her recovery, while her children deserve a safe, stable environment where they can feel secure and have the opportunity to grow.
