We are Maxine and Novlette, proud owners of Island Café Rock, located in Linden, NJ. Born and raised in Jamaica, we’ve spent over 20 years in the restaurant industry, sharing the flavors and hospitality of our island heritage. Over the years, we’ve operated restaurants in Brooklyn, NY; Upstate NY; and Morristown, NJ, always staying true to our roots and commitment to serving delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere.

The pandemic delayed our opening here in Linden and brought many unforeseen challenges. Despite these obstacles, we remain dedicated to our vision and to bringing our community together through great food and a warm, inviting space. To continue this journey, we are asking for your support to help us reach our goal of raising $50,000.
