My name is Clive Farquharson, and I’m reaching out from Kingston, Jamaica. For years, I’ve dedicated my life to improving the lives of others as a Project Officer with a local NGO. In partnership with esteemed organizations like USAID and the EU, I’ve been fortunate to lead parenting and youth intervention programs in vulnerable communities, including Clarendon, St. Catherine, and the inner-city neighborhoods of Denham Town, Greenwich Town, Hannah Town, Jones Town, Tivoli Gardens, and Trench Town.

Sadly, I now find myself in a position where I need help.

In August 2024, I was forced to stop working due to major eye complications. The surgery I need to regain my vision and independence costs US $2,500, which I simply cannot afford.

As if that weren’t enough, in October 2024, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Facing this life-altering diagnosis has been overwhelming, not just emotionally but financially. Diagnostic procedures alone will cost more than US $5,000, and treatment—combining Integrated Medicine care in Florida with complementary treatments in Jamaica—is estimated to exceed US $10,000.

These mounting medical expenses, combined with my inability to work, have left me at a standstill.

I am humbly asking for your support to help me cover these costs so I can focus on healing and returning to the work I love—uplifting others and strengthening communities.
