I recently completed a course with Heart Trust NSTA, where I discovered their Small Business Program. Thanks to a generous grant of $300,000, I was able to purchase the necessary fixtures, fittings, and equipment to launch my own business. Seizing this opportunity, I tried my best to secured additional funds and officially started my business last July.

Since then, my journey as an entrepreneur has had its highs and lows. Balancing the expenses of both home and business has limited my ability to reinvest as much as I would like.

I am now seeking crucial assistance to purchase raw materials for clothing as well as accessories such as buttons and zippers. In Santa Cruz, where I operate, there is only one other business of this nature. Expanding into this market would significantly boost my business and make it more profitable.

I am Shaneka Porter-Kelly, a dedicated mother of four children. One of my children is attending Heart Trust NSTA, two are in high school, and my youngest will be entering grade 6 this September. I have also served as PTA President at Leeds Primary and Infant School for the past two years, and I am also the Assistant Secretary for the PTA at St. Elizabeth Technical High School.
