Hi I’m Fersheka Coke and my son’s name is Hayden Lawrence, he is 1 year old. He was diagnosed with a condition called Hydrocephalus before birth and still suffers from it to this day. Hydrocephalus is otherwise known to many as “water in the brain”. It currently affects his developments, for his age, he is not sitting up, walking, talking, learning and has vision problems.

He had already gone through many failed surgeries and the last one was done in August 2022 which was successful. The surgery requires placing a device called shunt at the side and the back of his head to slowly drain the fluid from the brain into the belly. Shunts are very expensive, the one he has in now is over a million Jamaicans dollars. Shunts can be blocked, infected as well as they can stop working. Also, he is required to do a surgery every few years to lengthen the tube in his belly.

Therefore, I am seeking the kind assistance of the public to raise an estimated amount of 1.3 million JMD to help with his medical expenses which are replacing his shunt in the case it become blocked or infected and MOST IMPORTANTLY to get his next surgery done so my baby can walk, talk and move about like babies his age.

It pains my heart to see him in this state daily but Hayden is a fighter and will overcome this with your help! Any contribution, no matter how small it is will be greatly appreciated. God bless you!
