When Hurricane Mellisa tore through Jamaica, it left behind more than wind damage — it left families without homes, children without safety, and entire communities struggling to start over.

I’m Mykal, a Jamaican dedicated to helping our people rebuild. Through this initiative, “Rebuilding Hope for Jamaica,” we aim to bring immediate relief and create an organized, community-driven recovery effort for those who lost everything.

🌧️ The Situation

Entire areas have been devastated — roofs ripped off, houses washed away, and livelihoods destroyed. Many families are now sleeping in unsafe conditions or in overcrowded shelters with limited supplies. The need for temporary shelter and food is urgent.

🛖 Our Mission

We are launching an organized relief and recovery camp to provide:

  • 🏕️ Temporary shelters — large, weatherproof tents to house displaced families.

  • 🍱 Food packages — basic meals and nonperishable supplies for daily survival.

  • 💧 Essential needs — clean water, clothing, hygiene products, and emergency items.

  • 💪 Community support — a safe, structured environment that restores stability and dignity while longer-term rebuilding begins.

This is not just a handout — it’s a step toward recovery, resilience, and empowerment.
