My name is Kimoly, and I’m a mother of five wonderful children. I want to share my story with you, in the hope that you’ll join me in a journey towards a brighter future.

In 2002, my life took an unexpected turn when I began to experience vision loss in my right eye. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of a long and challenging journey. Over the years, I’ve undergone five surgeries on both of my eyes as the disease progressed to my other eye. Despite my best efforts, my vision continued to deteriorate, and today, I find myself unable to see in both eyes.

Last October, I received a glimmer of hope when I was referred for a corneal transplant surgery. However, there’s a significant hurdle in my path – this type of surgery isn’t available in Jamaica. Determined not to give up, I reached out to medical facilities overseas in search of a solution, and I was incredibly fortunate to be matched with the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.

The experts at Bascom Palmer have offered to perform the corneal transplant surgery that could change my life. However, this life-changing procedure comes at a cost, estimated to be between $10,000 to $15,000 US dollars. Unfortunately, due to my ongoing financial difficulties, I am unable to cover these expenses on my own.

This is where I humbly ask for your help. I am reaching out to friends, family, and compassionate individuals like you to assist me in raising the funds necessary for this crucial surgery. Your generous donations will not only cover the cost of the surgery but also help with other expenses like Visa and transportation.
