Tanisha Marshall, a mother of two and the breadwinner of her family, was recently diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformation. She had two ruptures (hemorrhage), the last one being in February. Her ability to function on a daily basis declined; tasks that she would usually complete with ease became more strenuous. Tanisha was admitted to the University Hospital of the West Indies for one week and is currently pending two surgeries. The first one is to cut off the blood supply to the affected area. This one will be done in Jamaica and costs $750,000 JMD for one session; it is not sure how many sessions will be needed. The second surgery is the Gamma Knife procedure which will be done at the Larkin institute in Miami. The cost for this procedure is $20,895 which does not include plane fares, accommodation or transportation.
If these procedures are not done, Tanisha will be at risk for serious paralysis or even worst. Please help to save Tanisha’s life, and by extension, the lives of her children who are heavily dependent on her.
