My name is Dorothy Beverly Anderson. I am 50 years old, a mother of 5, and a proud grandmother of 13. Despite my love and dedication to my family, life has become increasingly challenging for me. I am reaching out today in the hopes of finding support to overcome the difficulties I face daily.

I have been battling obesity and diabetes for over 10 years, which has taken a toll on my health and ability to provide for my family. Living near the dump in Church Corner, Morant Bay, St. Thomas, has made our struggles even more difficult. On some days, I cannot find food to feed my family, and my children have even resorted to scavenging from the dump to survive.

I have sought help for the last four years but have received little to no assistance. The cost of traveling to the hospital is beyond my means, as taxi fares are more than I can afford. My health continues to decline, and the lack of resources makes it harder to care for myself and my family.

I am humbly asking for your help to raise funds for:

Basic food supplies to feed my family.

Medical treatment and transportation to the hospital.

Support to help us move away from the harsh living conditions near the dump.
