I am told that a tragedy is an event of great loss, usually of human life.  Before  week of July 20th , I had no basis to contest or agree with that statement. However today, I am struggling to figure out the right terminology for losing all your life work, home and business, and watching 25 years of my life’s achievements go up in flames and the house where I grew up with my parents and raise my children, gone in a matter of minutes.

This happened on July 20, 2021, where my family 7-bedroom house located at 28 Crescent Road, Kingston 13, was totally destroyed by fire.  This fire has left 10 persons homeless, ranging from
5-85 years.  Unfortunately, the property was not insured and due to the safety concerns regarding the structure being compromised, it is recommended that the structure be demolished.

I am the main caregiver of my family and we would  like to start rebuilding  early 2022. We are requesting  assistance to do so.
