About the Jamaica National Children’s Home (JNCH)
For decades, the Jamaica National Children’s Home has stood as a beacon of safety, love, and holistic development for vulnerable children in need of care and protection. Guided by our enduring motto, “The People Who Care,” our mission is to provide a nurturing, structured, and empowering environment where every child can heal, grow, and step into a bright future.
However, we cannot walk this path alone. We need your partnership to cross the finish line of our greatest chapter of renewal.
The Journey: From Ashes to Rebuilding
A few years ago, tragedy struck JNCH when an entire section of our residential facility was devastated by a major fire. It was a heartbreaking loss for our children, our staff, and the community.
Through sheer resilience, community support, and unwavering dedication, our rebuilding and renovation efforts are now well advanced! The physical walls are rising once again, and we can almost see the finish line of restoring a safe, modern sanctuary for our boys and girls.
Why We Need Your Help Today
While the construction progress is inspiring, cash flow is currently tight. As we put the finishing touches on our newly reconstructed facilities, we face an immediate need to bridge our operating gap and secure vital resources:

Completing Facility Finishes: Finalizing safety features, interior fixtures, and child-friendly furnishings in the newly rebuilt residential sections.

Sustaining Our Core Care Programs: Ensuring uninterrupted access to nutritious meals, healthcare, educational support, and psychological care for every child in our home.

The “Wheels of Hope” Transportation Initiative: JNCH urgently needs a reliable bus. Currently, transporting our children to school, medical appointments, extracurricular activities, and community events is a daily logistical challenge. A dedicated vehicle is essential to giving them a normal, active childhood.

We are seeking to raise $155,750 USD and every dollar raised through this campaign goes directly toward tangible, high-impact needs:

Infrastructure & Finishing: Purchasing final materials and safety hardware to fully commission the rebuilt housing block.
