Help Us Give Our Father a Safe and Comfortable Home ❤️

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out with a humble request for help for my family, especially my father.

Our home in Jamaica has an old zinc roof that has deteriorated over time. There are numerous small holes throughout the roofing, allowing rainwater to enter our home whenever it rains.

Unfortunately, the problem goes beyond the zinc sheets. Some of the wooden boards supporting the roof have also deteriorated from years of exposure to moisture.

When it rains heavily, water comes into the house, leaving parts of the floor soaked. We have to place pots, pans and containers around the house to catch the leaking water.

One of the hardest things about this situation is that much of the leaking happens in my father’s bedroom.

My father has worked hard and done so much for me. It genuinely hurts to see him living under these conditions. After working hard throughout the day, he should be able to come home, relax and get a peaceful night’s sleep.

Instead, whenever it rains at night, he has to wake up to deal with leaking water, move containers around and worry about the condition of the house. Even after a difficult night, he still has to wake up early and go to work.

I don’t want this to continue being his reality.

I’m starting this fundraiser to raise money to completely replace our damaged zinc roofing, repair the deteriorated wooden supports and give our family a safer, drier place to live.

I’m asking people from around the world to consider contributing even just $1. No contribution is too small. If 1,000 people gave just $1, that would already be $1,000 towards making this change possible.
