A Hardworking Father Left Carrying the Burden After Stray Animal Crash in St. Ann
Hello everyone,
We are reaching out to our community during a critical time to ask for support for Dwayne McKenzie—a loving, hard-working father of three wonderful children
Dwayne is self-employed, meaning his vehicle is his absolute livelihood. Without it, he cannot work effectively , earn an income, or provide for his family. With the back-to-school season right around the corner, getting him back on the road is urgently needed so he can prepare his children for the upcoming school term.
A Story of Unmatched Resilience
In 2025, Hurricane Melissa devastated our lives, and Dwayne lost everything—including the vehicle he relied on daily for work. Despite the overwhelming destruction, Dwayne refused to stay down. Through sheer hustle, endless hours, and personal sacrifice, he saved every dollar he could and managed to buy another vehicle just three months ago to rebuild his life and support his kids.
An Unfortunate & Unfair Tragedy in Salem, St. Ann
Just as things were starting to stabilize, disaster struck again through no fault of his own. On August 8, 2026, while driving through Salem, St. Ann, a stray cow suddenly stepped onto the road. The resulting collision caused extensive damage to his vehicle.
To make matters worse, the animal was untagged, meaning no owner could be identified to take responsibility for the damage. Because Dwayne was already pushed to his financial limit recovering from the hurricane, he is left completely stranded with no way to pay for the repairs out of pocket.
Without a working car, he is caught in a vicious cycle: he cannot do his job efficiently , which means he cannot earn the money to fix the car, leaving his family without a steady income right when back-to-school expenses are peaking.
How Your Donation Helps
We are seeking to raise $500,000 JMD to get Dwayne’s vehicle repaired so he can get back to work immediately. Every dollar raised goes directly toward:
* Auto body repairs and essential replacement parts
* Mechanical labor to ensure the vehicle is safe on the road
* Securing back-to-school supplies and necessities for his 3 children
Dwayne is a resilient father who gives his all to provide for his family. He just needs a helping hand to overcome this unfair double setback.
If you can donate, no amount is too small—every single contribution brings him closer to working again. If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this link across your personal channels and groups.
Thank you so much for your support, prayers, and generosity!
