Short Story
My name is Tameika Williams, a 36-year-old woman living in Diamond, Saint Vincent. I am currently battling diabetes and hypertension, and earlier this year on January 7, I had to undergo an amputation. My doctors have also warned that I may soon need dialysis. I am seeking support to help me obtain a prosthetic leg so I can walk again and regain some independence. Any help during this difficult time would mean the world to me. ❤️

My name is Tameika Williams. I am 36 years old and lives in Diamond. Just a few months ago, on January 7, my life changed forever. As a diabetic and someone battling hypertension, I have already faced more challenges than most people my age. The day i lost my leg was the day everything became harder — moving, even doing the simplest daily tasks. Yet despite the pain and uncertainty, I refused to give up. My doctors have warned that dialysis may soon be necessary, adding another heavy burden to a life already full of medical battles.
Today, my greatest wish is something many people take for granted — the chance to walk again. A prosthetic leg would give me the independence to move freely, rebuild my life, and face my health challenges with strength and dignity. But the cost is far beyond what I and my family can afford. With courage and hope for a second chance, I am reaching out for help. Every act of kindness brings me one step closer to reaching my goal and proving that even after loss, hope can still help someone rise. 💛
