I’m reaching out for support after my home in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica was severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa. The storm tore an 8ft x 7ft sliding door from my house, allowing powerful winds to rush through my open-plan living, dining, and kitchen areas. Part of my roof was ripped off, and heavy rain poured inside, destroying furniture, appliances, and fixtures. There was also water and wind damage to the bathroom connected to my bedroom.

This has been an incredibly overwhelming experience, and I am now facing significant repairs and replacement costs. I am asking for any assistance—no matter how small—to help me rebuild and make my home safe and livable again.
