Hi my name is Natasha Powell Chavez, I am a Jamaican nurse and a travel agent and I am raising funds for food, water and shelter for the affected communities in Jamaica in the aftermath of hurricane Melissa. That hurricane created catastrophic and disasterous conditions in Jamaica, apart from dealing with the trauma of the hurricane itself, persons are suffering for lack of food and clean water to drink and a place to lay their heads at night. There are communities that are completely displaced,  so many homes without roofs, many homes have been completely flattened, people sleeping in the streets…….well in the spot where their home once was.

There is no electricity, no drinking water and no food. There are many organizations that are delivering care packages daily and we thank them very much, but they are still a lot of communities that they aren’t able to be access because of Roads blockage by light posts and trees. There are kids at stoplight begging for water and biscuit, oh it hurts my heart to see children in such situations. Our little island Jamaica is in a devastating state  right now and need all the help it can get.
