When Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica, it left behind heartbreaking damage — homes destroyed, families displaced, and entire communities struggling to rebuild.

I’m Sabrina, the cake artist behind Golden Sugar Bakery NYC, and like many in the diaspora, my heart broke watching it happen. I knew one donation wouldn’t be enough — so I started Golden Sugar Cares: Jamaica, a 6-month initiative to turn sweetness into something powerful.
