Description
Edna Gayle, a vibrant and dedicated retired teacher, has spent her life making a difference in
her community. Known for her innovative spirit and willingness to serve, she has touched
countless lives through her work in music, art, Bible clubs, student leadership training, and
reading programs in schools throughout her community and beyond. Now, this beloved mentor
and friend is facing the battle of her life.
Edna has been diagnosed with Mucosal Melanoma of the Lower Right Jaw, a rare and
aggressive form of cancer. Her condition is further complicated by its association with the
pituitary gland, which affects her hormone balance. Additionally, Ednaโs rare blood type makes
receiving compatible transfusions a unique challenge, adding another layer of complexity to her
treatment.
Her journey so far has been overwhelming. To fight this aggressive cancer, Edna has already
undergone a grueling 10-hour surgery and jaw reconstruction. Ahead of her are rounds of
radiation treatment, and potentially chemotherapy, to ensure the cancer is fully addressed. The
costs include extensive preparation, such as lab work, scans (X-rays, CTs, and MRIs), biopsies,
and the major surgery she has already endured.
To make matters more difficult, Ednaโs husband recently underwent brain surgery less than a
year ago, leaving the family emotionally and financially strained.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering her ongoing treatments and
associated costs.
Edna has always been the first to lend a helping hand, inspire others, and share her wisdom
and faith. Now, she needs your help to continue her fight and reclaim her health.
Please join us in supporting Ednaโs journey by donating, sharing her story, and keeping her in
your prayers. Together, we can help this remarkable woman overcome the toughest challenge
of her life.
Thank you for standing with Edna during this time of need.
