IIH causes a dangerous buildup of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain, leading to severe headaches, blurred vision, fatigue, tingling in the hands and feet, and the constant risk of permanent vision loss.

Papilledema, a swelling of the optic nerve caused by increased pressure, has already started to impair Alicia’s vision.
