Hi! My name is Sushant Rawat and I’m 16 years old and an aspiring tennis plaayer. My sister, Shreya Rawat who is 10, also follows me want to become a tennis player. I started playing tennis when I was 9 years old as a fun game to pass time but after playing and enjoying the game I fell in love with the sport. I started to train and play more often to get better and eventually won 2 trophies in the U10 category, but I stopped to pursue another sport and stopped playing for 4 years. After which I came back and started to train again and had an opportunity to play abroad. Even though it had only been 4 months since I started back, I grabbed the opportunity to go to Antigua and Barbuda and won the consolation round. My sister, Shreya, started playing at the age of 6 after watching me play. Most recently she won the U10 girls tournament which was held in St. Kitts and Nevis as well as a runner up trophy for the U10 tournament a few months back. My sister is one of the best young females in the federation. Now, in order to move to next level of the game we need to participate in inter island tournaments being organized outside in Carribean islands and it’s quite expensive to travel and stay in these places for us and becomes unaffordable for our family and hence we are soliciting funds from prospective donors to support our dream of becoming future tennis players.
