Celia Vernon is 22 years old and was a passenger in a very deadly car accident on March 18, 2022 in Spring Hill, Trelawny, Jamaica, which claimed the lives of Lexi the Best and other individuals. Our family started this Fundraiser to help ease the medical and financial struggles they are faced with.
Vernon has some very serious injuries and has a very long recovery ahead of her. She has a number of fractures including her back, chest and hip and her right leg is broken in two places. She had internal bleeding and had surgery to stabilize her to stop the bleeding. They measured her for a back brace and will have to be purchased also leg braces, wheelchair and walker. They are concerned about her hemoglobin, as it is low and they are continuing to monitor it. She is still really swollen and most of her body is covered in bruises and cuts. The pain, muscle spasms and nightmares she is having are really bad.
The donations will go towards the items listed above in addition to surgery and therapy. These are things she will need in order to help her when she goes home. Cilia won’t be able to return to work for a while. The money collected will help ease the financial burdens that aren’t covered by insurance and loss of Cilia’s income at this time. Cilia has truly been Blessed and we are so very thankful for her to be here with us. From the moment Celia arrived at the hospital, the medical staff has been outstanding in the care of her. Thank you everyone for the prayers and ask that you please continue to pray for Celia. Celia is very strong and a fighter. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. They are taking one day at a time . . . Thank you and God Bless You.
